Trader Joe’s is a fun place to shop with many unique products. They offer a peaceful yet social grocery shopping experience. On April 1st, 2021 we are going to launch a campaign telling consumers that we are rebranding and becoming Terrible Joe’s. Everything they love about Trader Joe’s will now be gone or replaced by something much more mediocre.

TERRIBLE FLYER
Modeled after the Fearless Flyer, Trader Joes’ seasonal newspaper, it features new products and horrible replacements of old ones. These would be tossed on everyones doorsteps within a 5 mile radius of every Trader Joe’s location as part of the launch as well.
SOCIAL
We showcased our new products via Instagram, users could swipe right to see the new not so improved products. We did this to create hype and get people talking.



SIGNAGE
Trader Joe’s is notorious for having beautiful hand drawn signage. The beautiful ornate art is yet another thing that gives them that inviting feel. So we thought we would make it as bland as possible as part of the rebrand.
MICROSITE
We configured our site so it would show the loading symbol going round and round endlessly.
